New Beacon House School Altit was formed 10
years before in an effort to provide quality and modern education to the
students of Altit. The idea of NBH was given by Mr.Zakir Hussain who is
now the principal of NBH. After having a debate on whether to build the
school or not, finally it was decided to build such a school which will be
a source of quality education. A specific place in the Altit Polo ground
was selected and the construction was started without any foreign aid. It
was a difficult target for the people of Altit to build such a huge
building who's cost was exceeding 5,000,000. Although they continued to
work, and with Allah's blessing and the great efforts of Mr.Zakir
Hussain and his team the school building was nearly completed and was albe
to accommodate students. The credit goes to Mr.Zakir Hussain and the
people of Altit for their scarifies in building such a school whose
reputation is escalating allover Northern Areas.
Up till now NBH has produced 181 students who
are studying in different colleges and universities of Pakistan. Currently
more than 400 students are studying in NBH from nursery to matriculation
level.The recent results of NBH students reveals that NBH is becoming the
number 1 high school in Hunza valley.
