Altit Town Management Society:

 Altit TMS was formed almost three years in an effort to highlight the social and economic problems to Altit and to make a platform through which the Altit village would able to progress smoothly.Altit TMS has members from each tribe and sub-division of Altit and any new member especially the young generation is appreciated well for participating in TMS activities and taking part in the development of Altit.Presently Mr. Baber Khan is the president of Altit TMS, who is running it smoothly and try his best to make Altit a model village in future.

Under the guidance of His Highness The Aga Khan and His institutions and in collaboration of international donor agencies the historical village  is preserved and Altit TMS has achieved positive results and improved the living standard of the villagers. Sewerage system, water reservoir, improvement of common spaces, street pavement, facility of clean water.

The main role of Altit TMS is to preserve physical , built environment and TMS has encouraged the participation of women in the developmental work, which is a positive sign for any society to progress. The females of Altit village have a central role in the development who have rendered their services in the activities like computer documentation work and digitization of Altit village.
