Al-Shams Welfare and sports club was formed almost 5 years back after wining the All-Hunza Shooting  tournament by the Altit Team.Farman Karim is now the president after Gullsher khan. The main objective of Al-Shams is to develop in Altit Youth the leadership qualities by encouraging them to participate in different co-curricular activities like sports etc .The talent in Altit Youth is  tremendous which leads them to keep their Hunza Champions title for years. Al-Shams Club has also produced young and talented cricketer for the Northern Areas team like Imitiaz Karim, Amjad Khan , Qasim Ali and best all-rounder in sports like Ali Ahmed Jan who is also captain of Al-Shams Club cricket team.
